Gayatri Subramanian, an exponent Bharata Natyam dancer, choreographer and instructor is one of the senior most disciples of Guru Smt. Padmini Radhakrishnan, the Founder-Director of the institute “Soundarya Natya Kalalaya”, Mumbai. She has undergone an intensive training for over 19 years from her Guru and has won accolades and awards for her performances in India and abroad. All her performances have been well received by the audience and the press.

Gayatri holds a first class Bachelor’s Degree in Dance (specializing theory). She has proficiency in the intricacies of both theory and practical. She has choreographed a number of dances and conducted several dance shows. Intricate footwork marks her area of expertise. A special mention to her intense facial expressions especially the nava rasas (nine basic emotions) for which she is always appreciated.

Gayatri’s students get a systematic and rigorous training in dance and intensive training on theory (Natyashastras) as well, which equally contribute to the field of dancing.

Gayatri’s professional approach and dedication towards dance, determination to achieve and total involvement in dance have led her to the path of success. With the blessings and encouragement from her Parents, Guru and Husband, Gayatri has carved a niche for herself in the field of dance and aims to reach greater heights.
