Gopi Krishna – Young Krishna as a prankster, known for his mischief not only troubles Gopis of Gokul but also entices them with his enchanting flute. This famous composition, “Teerada vilayattu Pillai” by the great poet Subramanyam Bharati was enacted by three Gopis Aditi, Sherin & Shriradha with Sanjana full of zest, very well suiting the role of troublesome & playful Krishna.

Govardhana Giridhara - The entire village of Vrindavan gets struck by torrential rain and flood, Krishna protects the villagers and the inhabitants under the Govardhana Mountain lifted with his little finger. The protector, Govardhana Krishna was enacted with boldness and enthusiasm by Dhanashree. The deer dance was presented by brisk leaps and jumps on a musical note by Shriya, Rhea, Jheel whereas beautiful peacock dance by Esha, Shreya & Samiksha was performed on another note. Priya & Mehak as Krishna’s friends did a notable performance with coordinated movements.

Kalinga nardhana – This episode of “Kalinga Nardhanam” was depicted where Lord Krishna with his powers totally subdues the evil serpent Kaliya who once poisoned the Yamuna River. The senior dancers enacted this scene with valor and Krishna played by Suganya showed bravery while slaying the evil serpent kalinga. Sherin as the serpent wriggled with brisk movements that received good round of applause.

Parthasarathy Krishna: Krishna is known to be a friend, guide, philosopher to the great warrior Arjuna. This scene took us to the battlefield of Kurukshetra with Krishna as the charioteer. Arjuna’s dilemma in taking up arms, killing his own people and thereby surrendering to the Lord was beautifully conveyed by Shubha through her facial expressions and full involvement. The conversation ends up in a message and advice by Lord Krishna with a climax of Lord himself revealing the supreme universal form of “Viswaroopa”. People were awestruck by this scene and one could actually witness “Viswaroopa” presented by Gayatri in the form of Krishna.

Radha-Krishna - The relationship of Radha and Krishna is termed as the embodiment of love, passion and devotion. These wonderful exuberant joyous emotions and their unification were depicted in the form of Thillana with scintillating, intricate footwork, thereby making a beautiful conclusion to the ballet “Krishna Leela”. Gayatri as Krishna and Shubha, Ashka as Radha depicted this energetic Thillana with their strong footwork.

The program concluded with a special musical piece composed and compiled by CV Subramanian which recapitulated the entire ballet depicting all stages of Krishna in one song. This grand finale was a treat to watch with all Krishnas posing their respective roles that received a standing ovation by the audience.
